Sectors and activities | Agro-forestry Permits (Only in Italy)

We have included in the “Permits” sector all the activities that Studio Tovaglieri performs so that clients can obtain the permissions necessary to do what can be done and what they wish to do.

The environmental, landscape, forestry and agricultural regulations require that cumbersome yet essential authorisation procedures are put in place in order to have the go-ahead to proceed with projects or extraordinary maintenance.

Studio Tovaglieri follows the procedures and the steps required by law, but above all understands that it needs to offer a pragmatic and rapid service to its clients.

Land Use Change of Wooded Areas (only in Italy)

What does it involve

All lands covered by woodland are protected and bound from a landscape point of view, so the transformation into other uses is, in principle, prohibited, except where authorisation is issued by the competent authorities. Through the land use change procedure, and by compensating and mitigating the damage caused, it is possible to obtain permission to carry out the change of use.

Studio Tovaglieri has gained extensive experience working together with Bodies that apply the legislation criteria and has successfully addressed and solved many complex cases.

Target audience

for all those who need to change the use of wooded areas.

Landscape Permission for various interventions (only in Italy)

What does it involve

All the interventions implemented in landscape conservation areas are subject to the issuing of a permit by the competent local authority, which will assess the impact on the landscape. A landscape authorisation is independent of other planning permissions issued for the proposed intervention.

Studio Tovaglieri assesses the impact of the intervention in relation to the nature of the environment and the value recognised by the existing landscape conservation restrictions. If the result is zero or improved landscape impact, since compensatory and mitigative measures are proposed, the competent body issues the authorisation.

The Landscape Report including all annexes, is the document that accompanies the request and reports the analysis and the study of the landscape where the intervention work is to be carried out, as well as the evaluation of interaction between the landscape and the project

Target audience

anyone who must carry out interventions in areas subject to environmental and landscape restrictions.

Tree felling report (only in Italy)

What does it involve

Felling a tree on a property is not just a private matter because it changes the landscape perceived by everyone. In most cases, the owner must request permission. If the municipality adopts its own Green Space Regulations or the area happens to be subject to landscape restrictions, besides the actual felling request, a technical agronomic report is also required which explains and justifies the reasons for the intervention and proposes compensatory measures.

Thanks to years of experience in dealing with permits for the management of urban, private and public green areas, Studio Tovaglieri can lend a hand. The request for permission, which usually involves a lot of red tape, can be successfully obtained in a timely and no nonsense manner.

Target audience

Public Bodies, Private Individuals, Companies, Property Administrators, Gardeners, anyone who owns a tree and wishes to remove it.

Woodland felling complaint (only in Italy)

What does it involve

Felling a woodland to use the wood requires a licence since it is a natural asset protected by law. Under a certain size of woodland, the request can be made to the competent body. For larger woodland areas, a felling project needs to be drawn up by a professional and, quite common in Italy, the firm carrying out the forest operations must be certified. The woodland is a resource and should be promoted and used well. Studio Tovaglieri deals with the technical, operational and bureaucratic aspects of Italian Forests.

Target audience

those who fell woodland.

Action plan for the use of pesticides and head of phytopathology (only in Italy)

What does it involve

The use of pesticides is extremely important in the maintenance of the highest quality and quantity standards in agricultural production and in the management of non-agricultural green areas; the inefficient use can pose a risk to human health as well as having negative impacts on the environment and on biodiversity. In order to reduce the risks to humans and encourage biodiversity, in recent years, a reference standard has been developed which defines the guidelines for the sustainable use of pesticides.

The European Community legislation transposed nationally by the National Action Plan (NAP Decree of 22 January 2014), requires Member States to adopt alternative methods to the use of pesticides in order to reduce the impact on the environment ensuring the achievement of the production and quality standards. The new challenges consist in defining and identifying all those technical, biological and biocompatible methodologies and the active ingredients that are able to combat plant diseases favouring the above mentioned objectives.

Studio Tovaglieri has been studying alternative methods and preparing actions plans for the use of pesticides designed ad hoc for each specific case (both in the public and private sectors) by implementing the most recently developed methods that have less impact on the environment.

Dr. Andrea Tovaglieri, owner of the firm, became a qualified Phytosanitary Consultant under the current legislation.

Target audience

Firms, Gardeners, Farmers, anyone who needs to use pesticides for their activity.
